This page explains, in plain language, what information iGears Technology Limited receives through this website and how it is handled. We collect little, and we use it only to respond to you and deliver services.
What we collect
When you contact iGears through this website, by email, by phone or through the quotation form, we receive the information you choose to provide: your name, contact details, organisation, and the content of your enquiry. The quotation form on this site composes an email in your own mail application — nothing is stored on this website when you use it.
Website analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use it — pages viewed, approximate region, and the source that referred you (including AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Perplexity). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Server logs record basic technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability.
The free GEO audit tool
If you use our free GEO audit tool, the website address you submit is fetched once to generate your report. We keep a short-term log of audited addresses to prevent abuse of the tool and to follow up if you ask us to. We do not store the content of the audited pages.
How we use information
To reply to enquiries, prepare quotations, evaluate project fit, deliver contracted services, and maintain normal business communication with existing clients. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Retention and access
Enquiry and project information is kept for as long as needed to serve the relationship and meet legal obligations, and is accessible only to the people involved in responding or delivering the work — in our Edmonton and Hong Kong offices.
Third-party services
Delivering services may involve reputable third-party platforms — hosting, cloud email, analytics and communications tools. Each has its own privacy practices; we choose providers with appropriate safeguards, and Canadian data residency is available for hosted work when required.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@igears.ca. You can also use this site with analytics blocked — it works fine.
